What isn't Coaching?

Counselling or Therapy - These practices are certainly important but they generally focus on going back into the past. They are very analytical in nature and certainly serve a purpose. However, as a Coach, I’m more interested in where you’re going rather than where you’ve been.

 

Mentoring – Sometimes people think a Coach will tell them exactly what they need to do, give them an action plan and then show them how to complete it. This couldn’t be further from the truth. As a Coach, it’s my job to show you that you have all the answers and bring them to the surface.

 

There will be aspects of mentoring within our relationship. Part of my service is to look at the physical aspects of your life and educate you on health suggestions. The level of this input will be decided in our coaching agreement.
